Welcome to Ciarra's Page! Ciarra Nichole is 4 years old. She loves BARNEY, music, school, and dancing. She is the youngest child of Jim and Michelle, and little sister to Jesse and Kristin. Ciarra is a remarkable little girl. She has Down syndrome, something that makes her even more special than we expected. She is just like most other kids, maybe a little smaller, and doesnt talk as clearly. But she is an amazing child, and she is leading us down the path of a great Adventure...
Down syndrome can affect so many things in a child. Luckily, Ciarra doesnt have to deal with many of the medical problems that can exascerbate the matter, a small hole in her heart that may require surgery, tubes in her ears, and slight developmental delays. She does not require any significant therapies, nor trips to the doctors more than any average child would, and is an exceptionally easy child to love. She is doing wonderfully! She attends a typical preschool, where she is very dearly loved, and pretty popular too. She loves to paint, to play musical chairs, and to go outside for recess. Ciarra is fully potty trained, and knows all of her colors and shapes. She has well over a thousand words in her vocabulary...though articulation is an issue. She is getting easier to understand though. She LOVES animals. She also loves her friends....Kassie and Meghan, Amara, Clancy, and baby Makayla are some of her favorites. Her big brother Jesse plays with her a lot too, they are very close. Here are some recent pictures:
